Strategic Chess is back again and we are now offering Chess instruction to students in grades Kindergarten through 8, with students being split by grade/ability level during the first class meeting.
***Strategic Chess staff will create playing groups at their discretion, based on evaluation and assessment of playing ability and age/grade***
We bring the ancient and amazing game of chess to life! Our story-based lessons are tailored to the skill level of the students meaning all chess levels are welcome!
In each class, children receive a dynamic lesson followed by chess playing time where they can practice what they have learned and make new friends!
Chess teaches many life skills including sportsmanship, patience, strategic thinking, planning ahead, and learning from your losses. The session will end with a fun tournament where students have the opportunity to win trophies and prizes!
Students in all grades are expected to report to the Lower School handball court for attendance and they'll be walked to the club location as a group.
