Early School Dance (Preschool only) - Tuesday

Tuesday- Early School Dance

Time: 3:00-4:00pm

The Early School Dance curriculum at SMES allows young dancers the opportunity to get a taste of ballet and tap styles. Classes can include a variety of activities, such as learning new movements, memorizing dances, and performing in front of an audience. The students will work on correct posture, placement, musicality, footwork, and coordination throughout the year. The class time is divided in half to work on each style of dance. 

Dress Code

• Girls: Black leotard, black yoga pants/leggings, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Hair MUST be in a pony-tail or bun, before entering the classroom. 

• Boys: White T-shirt, black shorts/pants, black ballet slippers and black tap shoes.

• Dancers must be in uniform at the start of class. Don’t forget a snack and water bottle for your dancer.

Pick-Up: Please plan to have your Early School dancer after they are dismissed from school. Dance instructors will pick up the dancers outside the Early School entrance at 2:55pm and walk them to the CDS dance studio. 

Dismissal: Please plan to pick up your Early School dancer outside the Early School entrance at 4pm.
