Wednesday- Kindergarten Dance

Teacher: Mo Goodfellow

Time: 3:30-5:00 pm

The Kindergarten Dance curriculum at SMES allows young dancers the opportunity to get a taste of ballet, jazz, and tap styles. Classes can include a variety of activities, such as learning new movements, memorizing dances, and performing in front of an audience. The students will work on correct posture, placement, musicality, footwork, and coordination throughout the year. The class time is divided in half to work on each style of dance. 

Dress Code

• Girls: Black leotard, black yoga pants/leggings, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Hair MUST be in a pony-tail or bun, before entering the classroom. 

• Boys: White T-shirt, black shorts/pants, black ballet slippers and black tap shoes.

• Dancers must be in uniform at the start of class. Don’t forget a snack and water bottle for your dancer.

Pick-Up: Dance instructors will pick up the dancers at 3:15pm and walk them to the Campaign Dance Studio. Dancers will then change into their dance clothing upon arriving. 

Dismissal: Dance instructors will walk the dancers to the Lower School parking lot and guide each dancer to their car.
